The 69th anniversary of Indian Independence saw the celebration of a fantastic initiative called One World. A brainchild of the Global Citizen Forum, One World is a movement which aspires to a cohesive, technologically-integrated and sustainable global society.
Senate Publishing’s Chairman Lord Evans, and CEO Caroline Minshell were thrilled to attend the launch of this initiative at the Commonwealth 2.0: The Force For Peace event in London. Inspirational business leaders attended, showing their support of this inclusive, collaborative and unifying movement. These included philanthropist and social entrepreneur, Dr. M who delivered a thought provoking lecture, closely followed by the anti-corruption campaigner, politician and TV personality, Shazia Ilmi.
Lord Kamlesh Patel, Senior Advisor to the Commonwealth Secretariat, also made a stimulating presentation of the exciting opportunities that face the Commonwealth. In association with the Global Citizen Forum, the Commonwealth in their capacity as the biggest international political block of nations, can together strive to usher in a new era of global peace.
In continuation of this unifying spirit, Senate Publishing look forward to marking the 70th anniversary of India’s independence with our new title, India at 70: India-UK Trade & Investment. The title will mark a new era of partnership, analysing the dynamic growth and diversity of trade and foreign direct investment ties between India and the United Kingdom.
